STOIC POETRY | Heat Death

On my way to Julian California to get some apple pie for my family, I decided to swing by in Mount Palomar to take a glimpse at the telescope that helped humanity discover the universe beyond the Milky Way galaxy and the fact that the universe is expanding. This little adventure brought about some parts of the end of the universe at how our current prognosis is heat death after all energy runs down and the universe becomes a cold void of uniform scattered elements. So to you and me. It’s only a matter of time before our cells replicate enough to see if run down and it’s time for us to stop operating. Death then is permanent, eternal, and irrevocable. Such are my thoughts as I ride my motorcycle along the sweeping mountain road to the Mt. Palomar observatory.

My name is Kurt Bell.

ABOUT

Going Alone was begun by Kurt Bell in an effort to help others understand and manage  the recognition of the apparent indifference of the universe to our well being, happiness or even our existence, and to find ways to make a good life in spite of this fact.
